Hey guys! So uhh I completely forgot this was a feature I do on my blog, and I think I skipped it for three months straight?? I have this terrible sinking feeling that I’ve already mentioned a lot of these songs in previous posts- not sure, and I’m in an airplane while writing this post, so I don’t really have the wifi to check. But ANYWAY, I’m back with my favourite songs from September, which for me, was a pretty incredible month. Let’s get into it!
1. 8 Letters- Why Don’t We
I’ve heard exactly two songs by Why Don’t We, and I love them both, so I don’t know why I haven’t bothered checking out the rest of their music. I really like the voice of whichever dude is singing that song, cuz damn he sounds so sad and lonely and it fitst perfectly with the mood.
2. Lovers- Anna of the North
I heard this song in To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, and I really loved it! I was OBSESSED with it for a couple weeks to the point where my friends were constantly screaming at me to shut up and stop singing. The voice and sound is so unique, and there’s just something about that song that is so soft and beautiful and just wow I really love it.
3. Happier- Marshmello and Bastille
I love Bastille so much?!?!? I really love that sorta husky-ish voice and that accent he sings with, and i didn’t think Marshmello and Bastille would make a good music combo, but this song is just so so good! It’s kinda sad, but like Marshmello’s music makes it not sad, so it’s literally perfect for any mood.
4. Valentine- 5 Seconds of Summer
5SOS had a music glo up and i am L I V I N G for it. All their new songs are absolute bops, and Valentine is a weirdly seductive song which is just so frickin good and wow they’ve evolved so much from “She looks so perfect standing there/in my American apparel underwear” I’m so proud.
5. Enemies- Lauv
I’ve gotten a little obsessed with Lauv and his music ever since I heard him in TALBILB, and I’m so glad I found his music, because he is so talented!! He has such an amazing voice, and his songs have such a different and refreshing feel to them. I’ve been listening to Enemies on repeat for days now, and I’m still nowhere near tired of it.
6. The Way I Am- Charlie Puth
I normally hate Charlie Puth’s music- I find it a bit too mainstream and cliche. But I actually really like The Way I Am- it’s super catchy, very upbeat, and really fun to jam to!
7. Bottled Up- Dinah Jane, Ty Dolla $ign, Marc E. Bassy
I honestly don’t know how I like this song, because it’s the opposite of my usual music taste, but it’s just really really catchy. The lyrics is repetitive, the music is very upbeat- it’s basically like Lean On all over again. I know I’m gonna get sick of it soon enough, but ATM, I can’t stop listening to it.
8. Jumpsuit- Twenty One Pilots
Though I really like TOP, I don’t really actively go out and find their music to listen to. So every once in a while when I stumble across something new by them, I’m always amazed, cuz theu just keep getting better, but also keep their essence the same. Jumpsuit is such a classic TOP song, but also so different at the same time, I LOVE IT.
9. Emperor’s New Clothes- Panic! At The Disco
I don’t know if i’ve already feautred this song at some point before, but it’s P!ATD so even if I have, i have no problems doing it again. And YES, I know this song is a bit old now, but it’s still AMAZING OKAY. Brendon Urie has the voice of an angel and the looks of a devil (literally, in this video) and the song is so weird and wtf and exactly what you would expect Brendon Urie to come up with.
10. Be Alright- Dean Lewis
This is such a sad and melancholic and beautiful song- one of those songs that you listen to when you’re sitting in a car and it’s raining and you’re looking out pretending you’re in a sad heartbreak movie.
Aaand that’s it! Have you guys heard any of these songs? What were some of your favourite songs last month? Tell me in the comments!
Thanks for reading!
