Hey guys!! First off, I want to thank all of you for being there for me last week. If you’ve read my previous post, you know I’ve been going through a bit of a hard time, and had been kinda sad, but writing about it made me feel so much better. And what helped me the most was all the support and encouragement you guys gave me. Your advice was so helpful and sweet, and I really feel much better now, so thank you all sooooo much!!! ❤ ❤
I was tagged for this by Inkgirl Reads– and omg! it’s already the end of summer! I didn’t even realise it, but 2018 is so close now! This is a super fun tag, so lets get right into it!
What was your Favorite Book this Summer?
This is already hard, because I read many impressive books this summer. I think I’ll go with Lord of Shadows- I SIMULTANEOUSLY ADORED AND HATED THE BOOK. Anyone who has read the book will understand what I mean by that. I loved it. So so much. ❤ My long and fangirly review on it is right here.
What was your Least Favorite Book this Summer?
I’ve actually had a great year for reading- I haven’t read a single book I hated! There have been some things I disliked about some books, but overall, I enjoyed everything I read. If I had to pick one though, it would be Half Bad by Sally Green. I did enjoy it, but I’d also had some problems with the pace and some things that were said in the book. Even then, it had been a great read!
What Book Did you wish You had read this Summer?
Oh God, I’d had such a long TBR, so there are so many books I wish I’d read this summer! I wish I’d read One of Us is Lying by Karen M McManus- I’d heard such amazing things about the book but didn’t get the chance to pick it up! It’s on my TBR for November though, so hopefully I’ll get to it then!
What was your Favorite Classic you read this summer?(If you didn’t read one this summer than in general.)
I didn’t read any new classics this summer, but I did re-read Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I absolutely love that book, and any number of re-reads isn’t enough for it. I had planned to read To Kill a Mocking Bird and even bought it, but somehow, I haven’t gotten around to reading it.
Did you stray into a different genre and pick up a new and exciting book?
I actually picked up a non fiction in the summer! I read How To Be A Bawse by Lilly Singh (a.k.a Superwoman). She is my favourite youtuber, so I had totally wanted to give her book a try. I’d actually really enjoyed it- the mix of motivation and inspiration with humor made her book quite a success with me!
What was your favorite movie adaptation this summer?
The only movie adaptations I watched were City of Bones (I disliked the movie quite a lot) and The Perks of Being A Wallflower (I haven’t read the book). I did however watch the T.V show adaptation for Thirteen Reasons Why, and I loved it. It was deep, horrifying, but very interesting, and I’m super excited for season 2!
What was your favorite new release book?
I want to say Warcross, but that didn’t release in the summer. I want to say Lord of Shadows, but people will kill me if I name another Cassandra Clare book. So I will go with A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas! I’m yet to write the review, (I’m really behind, I know, but I promise it’s coming real soon!) but I’d really loved this book!!
I’m not tagging anyone officially, cuz I’m super behind on my tags and have loads of them coming up, so I’ll be tagging many people there and I don’t want to be annoying. But if you’re interested in doing it- then I tag YOU! You can link back to me if you want so I can read your answers! Thanks for reading!
